The Money Is In The List!

If you have been around internet marketing for any amount of time, then you have probably heard this phrase time and time again. You can have the best website in the world, and the best product in the world but if you don’t have traffic to it then it does no good. It doesn’t matter if you are promoting a new squeeze page, a sales page for your own product, or an affiliate offer, the most powerful way to get traffic to your site, is by having your own email list of targeted prospects or buyers…

I have been able to grow multiple large email lists in the past, and in this post I will share one of the many ways that I have been able to do this. If you have a squeeze page that converts, then this one strategy will be able to work wonders for you in building your list; I guarantee it! In fact, this one  technique has added serveral thousand people to my email lists over time.

So, you want me to tell you what this strategy is?

Well, I’m going to assume that if you didn’t want to know then you would have already been gone by now so here is what I am talking about…

Solo Ads

You may not have heard of a solo ad before because this is a strategy that I don’t hear many people talking about.  Just because they are not talking about it, doesn’t mean that they aren’t doing it.

In short, here is what they are…

There are people out there have a big list of targeted subscribers.  You can type up an email to promote your squeeze page, product, or whatever else you want.  You then pay that person a fee to send out your pre-typed email to their list. Similar to how a Joint Venture works, but since you are paying for it, you can guarantee that your email will be sent. That’s basically it.

Now, I don’t feel like it would be a good use of my time (or yours) to explain all the details about what a solo ad is, and why I think you should be using them. The bottom line is that most of the successful online marketers with big lists have used this strategy to get them. If you need to know all the ins and outs and details of solo ads then CLICK HERE!

My intentions in this post is to help you make the most of your solo ad should you decide to try it out (and I think you should). I have spent alot of money on solo ads. Some of them worked amazingly well, and some of them were a total waste of my time and money. Watch the video below where I show you EXACTLY how easy it is to purchase and send your very own solo ad…

Now that you know how simple it is, here are some tips to keep in mind on writing a good solo ad that gets the results that you want…

1. Choose the ezine you want to advertise in very carefully.
-Just because one ezine had 100,000 subscribers doesn’t mean that it will always get better results then another ezine with 10,000 subscribers.

2. Get the readers attention with the headline.
-A perfectly written solo ad does no good if the reader does not open the email, and read it.

3. Don’t sell anything in your ad.
-The biggest thing to remember is that the only objective of your ad is to get the reader to click on your link, NOT TO MAKE A SALE.

4. Make your ad easy to read.
-Use simple words. Don’t forget that subheadlines work great. As well as bullets. Often subheadlines and bullet list is all that people read.

5. Tell the benefits
-Turn on every readers favorite radio station: WII-FM. (Whats In It For Me)

6. Create sense of urgency
-Create a fear of loosing, create a sense of limited availability.

7. Write in third person.
-People are more than likely to trust an email from a strange person if they are pumping up someone else, rather than trying to sell themselves.

If you keep these tips in mind when writing your solo ad, then you should be pleased with your results.  Remember, there is no silver bullet when it comes to writing solo ads.  These are just “tips”, so get creative and try some new stuff.

Now that you know the “how” and “what”, here is the “where”…

Their are tons of places online to submit a solo ad.  The ones I have listed are the ones that I have personally used and recommend all of them.

I am currently directing my focus to solo ads, so I will be adding more sites to the list as I come accross the ones that I like.  I am also going to be doing my next monthly case study for solo advertising, so you will be able to see my exact cost/results from the directory that I pick, so stay tuned for that…

Also, it is important to remember that building a list and being able to drive traffic to any website you wish is the lifeblood of your online business.  There is a basic foundation that you must have in place to start seeing results.  Once you get this foundation in place, you can focus all of your time on driving traffic, and trying out new strategies like the one you just read about.  I have put together a FREE  7 day Online Marketing Boot Camp Video Series, that walks you through step by step in how to build that foundation.  If you would like to access to it, then visit http://TheIncomeCoaches.com and grab them before they are gone.

Thats all I’ve got for today.  Now go out there and start building that list with solo ads.  Be sure to leave me a comment down below and let me know your experience with solo ads, and if you found this post to be informative, then please pay it forward by clicking the ReTweet button at the top.

Warmest Regards,
