What should I do first if i want to start making money online?

This is the most common question that I get asked, and here is my answer…

If I had to start all over in internet marketing, the first thing I would do is buy a domain name.  They can be purchased for little of nothing, and in my honest oppinion, are essential.  Can you make money online without a domain name?  Yes, but I think my way is the easiest way to actually make money. Lets think about it for a minute…

To make money online, you have to sell something.  (product)
To sell something, you have to have someone buy it. (customer)
For someone to buy, they need a place to buy from. (website)
When they get there, they have to trust you enough to buy. (professionalism/customer service)
To look professional, one thing you have to do is have a “relative” and simple website address (domain name)

For example, if you are selling birdcages online, and handing out business cards or running an add in the paper, then you wouldn’t want your website to be “www.birdcages.myfreewebsite.com/jglover” because that doesnt look very professional.  Instead you would want a name like “www.CoolBirdcages.com”

See how much more professional that looks?
