Step 4: Verify your email address by clicking the link in your email

Step 5: Get your gift ready to submit by creating your capture page and download page. Watch this video if you need help with this step.

Step 9: Get as many people as you possibly can to visit the event site (through your affiliate link) so they can get some free stuff. (Refer to the promotion tips below for ideas on how to do this)

Step 10: Sit back and watch your list grow like crazy

Step 11: Share this post with anyone you think might enjoy it.  Providing valuable information (like this) is an excellent way to get people to pay more attention to you.

Tips for promoting your links

- Email your own list. (If you have one)
- Make a blog post about what you are doing and invite people to join you
- Use socialoomph.com to schedule tweets to go out every few hours with your link
- Post a status update to your Facebook wall
- Make a video about what you are doing and post it on your Facebook wall.  (be sure to tag other people that may be interested)
- Update your signature file in any forums that you participate in and make a few valuable new posts.
- Get creative – The best ideas are originals

If you have made it this far, then your next step is to IMPLEMENT what you have just learned.  If you don’t, then you have essentially just wasted your time and your list will stay the same size as it is right now.

How To Overcome Information Overload As A New Online Marketer

Have you ever found yourself wondering what to do next in your online business?

If so, you are just experiencing information overload, and that is very normal for someone just getting started. When we first become interested in internet marketing, we slowly start adding ourselves to more and more email lists. (even if we don’t realize it at first)

Before long, we are bombarded with emails from other marketers that are promoting the newest products, systems, and packages, and we have no idea where to start.

It’s kind of like trying to drink from a fire hose.

So we purchase these random products and services and don’t fully implement them, and before long we have moved on to a new product, convinced that the previous one we purchased “didn’t work”.

Here is one of the most important quotes that you can apply directly to your business:

“action without knowledge is worthless”

Typically, there is nothing wrong with any of the products that we buy, other than the fact that we don’t actually follow through and IMPLEMENT what we learn in them.

My personal recommendation to solve this problem is simply to avoid adding yourself to anyone else’s email list. (without good reason)

Pick out your top 3 (at most) marketers who you feel can provide you with the most amount of value, and follow them. Unsubscribe from everyone else at this time. (I recommend mine of course)

This will give you a much more manageable list of daily emails that you can absorb… I would also recommend crating a folder inside your email client and naming it after each marketer that you are following. This way you can archive all of the emails for future reading.

As you get more comfortable with what it takes to be successful online, then you can get back on more peoples lists. This is not only a way to get good training content, but also a way to see how they are marketing, and what offers they are sending out to their list.

Here is what I currently do:

I follow 8-10 marketers at a time for a few months to see what they are promoting and to get a feel of their writing styles. I save all of the emails to their own personal folder, (actually they go there automatically via my outlook “filter” feature) as I get them, and then go back and read through them every other week or so.

The important thing to remember is that every single email is nothing more that a distraction to the “system” you learned about in the last email that you read… As long as people are making money promoting products by email, that part will never end.

You simply have to find a way to manage it.

What Is The Best Internet Business Model To Have?

If you are looking to start a home based business, or just want to learn more about internet marketing then there is no doubt that the first thing you need to do is decide on a business model to follow.  There are tons of ways to make money online, but if you are not careful, you will get distracted with everyone’s “ideas” and “techniques” and you might not ever make any real money. In the rest of this post, I will give you what is in my opinion, the best internet marketing business model to have.

Step 1 – Identify A Market.

The first thing you need to do is identify a market that you are going to be selling stuff in.  If you don’t clearly identify a market, you will never truly be able to develop the focus that you need to achieve the kinds of results that you are looking for.  This is like the architect putting the first stake in the ground when he is getting ready to measure out the foundation of the house.

Step 2 – Create Free Line Content for That Market

Once you have decided on a market, you will need to create a piece of content for that market that you will be able to give away.  This is what I call your free line content.  By giving away something of value for free, you begin to establish the trust that you will need later on down the road to make more sales. The more value you provide in this content, the more trust you will gain, and in the long run, the more sales you will make.

Step 3 – Build A Lead Generating System

After you have something to give away in a qualified market, then it’s time to put together your lead generating system.  This is nothing more then a certain type of website that has a certain type of code on it that will allow visitors to put in their name and email address to get your free line content.  When they do that, they are giving you permission to send them future emails that are related to that particular subject. These are the people that you will eventually be selling stuff to.

Step 4 – Drive Traffic

Now that we have a fully functional lead generating system in place that is set up to collect names and email addresses, it’s time to start sending visitors to that site.  This is known as “driving traffic”.  Traffic is one of the most important pieces of your business.  Think of it like this… If you have the best store in the world, with the best products in the world, and the friendliest workers in the world, but no one ever visits your store then you are not going to be in business for long.

Step 5 – Send Emails

Once you start sending traffic to your lead generating system, then you will begin to develop a database of people that are interested in your general market.  After all, they gave you their name and email address to get your free content, so obviously they are interested in that type of thing.  The next step is to send out emails to them and make them related offers on different products that are in the marketplace.  These can be your own products, or someone else’s that you make a commission on for referring someone.

Step 6 – Collect the cash

If you follow this proven internet business model, then the only thing you have left to do is start collecting the cash.  The more offers you send people, the more money you will make.  The more people you have on your list, the more money you will make.  The more traffic you have to your site, the more people you will have on your list, and so on…
